Air Burkina is currently running a fleet of 2 Embraer 170.

When Air Burkina was taken over by the AKFED consortium in 2001, a quality procedure was introduced along with a process for replacing the company’s aircraft.

In 2003, as part of this quality procedure Air Burkina received its national RAF 145 approval for its aircraft maintenance.

In 2009, the hard work and high standards were confirmed by the award of the EASA certification for the line maintenance of the Airbus 319; this aircraft is now in service on the Ouagadougou – Paris flight introduced in 2004.

Since September 2010, Air Burkina has been registered on the IOSA register (IATA Operational Safety Audit).

The IOSA audit of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) is a reference point in the industry. Passing the audit is currently a requirement for becoming an IATA member. It is a complex process during which all the elements of the airline company are inspected: air operations, maintenance, cargo, quality assurance, etc.

IOSA certification, a prestigious achievement on an international level, is awarded to companies that meet the Quality, Security and Safety requirements in relation to air transport.

Air Burkina became the first French-speaking company in West and Central Africa to received the IOSA certification.

This success was shared by the company’s staff and customers and all the Aeronautical Authorities of the Sub-Region.
