Transporting animals

Air Burkina does not permit the transport of infected or venomous animals.

IN THE CABIN

In order to be accepted for travel, a booking must be made for animals.
Air Burkina transports animals or birds that are kept as pets, such as dogs, cats, parrots, etc, on the following conditions :

  • One animal per cage
  • Maximum weight of 5kg per animal is allowable
  • A maximum of two animals per flight is permitted
  • The animal must have a health card and up-to-date vaccines
  • Size: 115 cm

Service animals travelling with blind or deaf passengers are accepted free of charge. If the animal needs a seat, this must be booked. Dogs must be muzzled.
Air Burkina does not accept any responsibility if an animal is refused entry to or transit through another country. Similarly, Air Burkina is not responsible for a deterioration in the animal's state of health before, during or after the flight

IN THE HOLD

In order to be accepted for travel, a booking must be made for animals.
Air Burkina transports pets such as dogs and cats, etc and other small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs, etc, on the following conditions:

  • One animal per cage
  • Presence of a regulatory cage in the bulk cargo hold: Air Burkina does not have a cage
  • The animal must have a health card and up-to-date vaccines
  • Size of the animal depends on the type of plane

The weight of all animals transported (except service animals accompanying the blind and deaf) is excluded from the luggage allowance and is therefore subject to the prices for excess luggage.
